There are over 185,894 PMP’s worldwide who provide project management services in 125 countries. The growth over last eight years is in the range of 20 times from 1998 to 2006. Many corporations require the PMP® credential for an individual to qualify for employment an advance within the corporation. The accreditation is the world’s most recognized credential for individuals associated with project management. For your information, the cost for sitting for the examination per participant is about US$555 (non-PMI® member), and payment is made direct to the Project Management Institute, USA (please see PMP Certification Handbook found at www.pmi.org for complete details).
